Day 3 – Tall Tales

My father didn’t read us bedtime stories when we were little. Instead, he told us very very tall tales.

My father’s escapades in dangerous and difficult situations would have made Baron Münchhausen and Till Eulenspiegel blush with envy.

He told us his tales very earnestly and we almost always believed that they were true. Anyway, it seemed to hurt his feelings if we didn’t believe them.

  1. I don't know how. Ideas just pop into my head, and when I start to draw them, things develop almost of their own accord.

Thank you so much for your regular comments. It really keeps me going 🙂

  2. Oh dear, I'm going to have difficulty choosing which ones to buy this year. So fat I want then all!

  3. I love all your pictures Ulrike. you are one very talented lady-with a wild imagination! You come up with something completely different & unrelated every single day!!!!
This one is my favourite because I have begun telling an encyclopedia of very tall tales to my 8 month old son. His sweet little face looks up at me, a mixture of unconditional love & incredulous awe. I hope once he can talk he doesnt tell me Im full of s*@^!
